Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field. If Master’s degree is not nursing, must have BSN.
- Current Ohio RN license.
- 5-7 years of extensive and progressive administration experience.
- 2 years must be at a Director level for more than one service area.
- Shared leadership principles, and committee development required.
- Executive Leadership Certification Required: NEA-BC or CENP
Nice To Haves
- CNP, PhD in Nursing
- Executive Leadership Certification: NEA-BC or CENP Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative leadership within the Department of Patient Services as VP Nursing.
- Accountable for successful implementation of initiatives in support of the nursing annual operating plan and core nursing care delivery systems.
- Participates in the development of goals, policies, procedures, and budgets various departments/divisions and ensures appropriate staffing, supplies and equipment, and physician relations.
- Monitors metrics to validate performance against national, system, and hospital benchmarks and to ensure delivery of competent clinical practice and patient/family experiences are achieved.
- Directs and oversees program development, performance management, personnel activities, and the provision of services.
- Supporting the Chief Nurse and Quality Executive’s (CNQE) clinical strategic plan.
- Successful achievement of clinical quality outcomes and patient /family experiences.
- Ensures a high level of customer service, including patient and family centered initiatives.
