Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field. If Master’s degree is not nursing, must have BSN.
  • Current Ohio RN license.
  • 5-7 years of extensive and progressive administration experience.
  • 2 years must be at a Director level for more than one service area.
  • Shared leadership principles, and committee development required.
  • Executive Leadership Certification Required: NEA-BC or CENP

Nice To Haves

  • CNP, PhD in Nursing
  • Executive Leadership Certification: NEA-BC or CENP Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative leadership within the Department of Patient Services as VP Nursing.
  • Accountable for successful implementation of initiatives in support of the nursing annual operating plan and core nursing care delivery systems.
  • Participates in the development of goals, policies, procedures, and budgets various departments/divisions and ensures appropriate staffing, supplies and equipment, and physician relations.
  • Monitors metrics to validate performance against national, system, and hospital benchmarks and to ensure delivery of competent clinical practice and patient/family experiences are achieved.
  • Directs and oversees program development, performance management, personnel activities, and the provision of services.
  • Supporting the Chief Nurse and Quality Executive’s (CNQE) clinical strategic plan.
  • Successful achievement of clinical quality outcomes and patient /family experiences.
  • Ensures a high level of customer service, including patient and family centered initiatives.
