About The Position

The Manager of Information Security is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Information Security Program that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the health system’s information assets. This role leads a team of Information Security professionals, partners closely with clinical and operational leaders, and ensures compliance with healthcare-specific regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, HITECH, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.
  • 5+ years of progressive information security experience.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI-DSS.
  • Knowledge of NIST CSF.
  • Strong knowledge of general IT including operating systems, computer networking, and software development concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies such as EDR, SIEM, IAM, firewalls, cloud security, encryption, and network security.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant language.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy and speed.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), HCISPP, PMP, ITIL Foundation, or other equivalent certifications.
  • Healthcare or other regulated industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities
