Vice President Marketing & Communications

EpirusWashington, DC
$290,300 - $361,000

About The Position

Epirus is a high-growth technology company dedicated to overcoming the asymmetric challenges inherent to the future of national security. Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques which allow power-hungry systems to do more with less. The Vice President of Marketing and Communications sits within Epirus' Strategy function and reports into senior leadership, with high visibility across the executive team. They will partner directly with executive leadership to shape and externalize Epirus' core strategic messaging, vision, and positioning, and will build and control the Company's external narrative -including media relations, press strategy, and public-facing communications. They will develop and maintain relationships with Department of War (DoW) media personnel, and will propose a structured, measurable approach to marketing, with clear objectives, frameworks, and reporting against them. This role directs and briefs an internal design house to execute on brand and creative work; design sits as a separate function, so this is a strong external communicator/partner role rather than a hands-on production role. They will also lead trade shows, industry events, and thought-leadership opportunities - such as speaking engagements and editorials - for senior Company leaders, and will manage a small team consisting of an events lead and two additional reports.
