About The Position

Xometry is hiring a Vice President, Communications to shape how its publicly traded, AI-native manufacturing marketplace is understood by the press, investors, customers, partners, and employees. This player/coach partners directly with the CEO and executive team, personally drafts and edits high-stakes communications, and builds and leads a lean team and agency partners. The role establishes disciplined messaging, a planned communications cadence, and clear, timely, well-sourced writing as the company scales. The Vice President owns Xometry’s corporate message house and maintains consistency across press, investor materials, product launches, executive remarks, and internal channels. The role translates technical product and AI developments into accurate, defensible stories supported by proof points; serves as the CEO’s primary communications counselor and voice architect; and extends executive communications support to the CTO and other senior leaders. The position leads proactive earned-media strategy, public-company communications in partnership with Investor Relations, Finance, and Legal, enterprise issues and crisis readiness, and internal communications with HR. It also builds the communications team and operating model, manages agency partners, develops AI-augmented workflows, measures communications impact in business terms, and aligns with Marketing, Product, Legal, HR, and IR. Success in the first 12 months includes putting a message house into daily use across executive, product, investor, and internal communications; establishing a rolling communications plan tied to business milestones and a predictable executive-preparation cadence; improving earned-coverage quality against agreed targets; and hiring the core team with clear ownership and outcome-based agency scope and KPIs. The estimated base salary range for new hires is $203,000–$240,000 annually, plus bonus, depending on job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
