About The Position

CBIZ Benefits & Insurance is separating from CBIZ and needs to establish its own secure, resilient technology foundation. The Vice President of Infrastructure and Security Operations owns cloud infrastructure and computing, networks, end-user computing, the service desk, telecommunications, and security operations. The role leads the move away from CBIZ-provided infrastructure and transition services agreements (TSAs), while building a small, nimble team that relies on managed service providers (MSPs and MSSPs) and strategic partner relationships. The position uses simplicity, automation, and AI to reduce cost while protecting sensitive data. The VP sets the strategy and enterprise standards for infrastructure and security operations, develops a multi-year platform roadmap, and establishes disaster recovery and resiliency practices. The role leads infrastructure separation and TSA exits, oversees operational service delivery and security, enables safe and governed AI use, manages vendors and partners, and owns the infrastructure and security operations budget. Success includes completing separation from CBIZ within the TSA window, establishing a stable and secure zero-trust environment with clean audits, creating a trusted service desk and transparent SLA framework, reducing operating cost and complexity, enabling safe AI adoption, and building an engaged team and strong partner relationships.
