About The Position

The Vice President, Finance for the Business Segment Perimeter Security (BSPS) is the senior finance leader and a core member of the BSPS Leadership Team. The role serves as a strategic business partner to the Segment President and provides financial leadership across planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, cash flow and working capital, internal control, compliance, systems, acquisitions, and performance improvement. The position is accountable for the integrity, timeliness, and usefulness of financial information across the segment and its operating businesses. It translates strategy into financial plans, challenges assumptions, identifies risks and opportunities, and supports disciplined decisions that improve growth, profitability, cash generation, and long-term value creation. The role provides segment-level financial leadership across Ameristar, B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, Iron Eagle, and Wallace North America. It leads and develops a distributed finance organization—including business finance leaders, controllers, financial planning and analysis, and shared-service resources—in a matrix environment. The Vice President partners with Segment, Business Area, Entrance Systems Division, and Group leadership, as well as Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, and external advisors. The role supports a multi-entity, cross-border manufacturing and service environment with differing ERP platforms, operating models, and statutory requirements. The Vice President leads financial strategy and business partnership; planning, forecasting, and performance management; accounting, reporting, and financial integrity; cash flow and working capital; internal control, compliance, and governance; acquisition evaluation and integration; transformation; and finance organization development. The role provides independent financial judgment, advises and constructively challenges leaders, recommends action on financially significant matters within established authority, and escalates material concerns as appropriate. Success is measured by accurate and timely reporting and forecasting; achievement of segment growth, profitability, cash flow, working-capital, and cost-management commitments; effective business reviews and follow-through; sustained compliance with control, audit, reporting, and Delegation of Authority requirements; successful acquisition integration and delivery of transformation benefits; development of a capable finance organization; and trusted partnership with segment, entity, division, and functional leadership. This is an office-based leadership role with regular interaction across BSPS locations and with Division and Group stakeholders. It requires regular travel within the United States and Canada, with periodic international travel as business needs require, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and support critical reporting periods and business events. Responsibilities may evolve with business needs. ASSA ABLOY describes itself as the global leader in access solutions, with nearly 63,000 colleagues in more than 70 countries. The company says it values results, empowers employees to develop careers aligned with their aspirations, supports development through feedback, training, and development opportunities, and values diverse and inclusive teams and different perspectives and experiences.
