This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: AssetMark is seeking a highly skilled senior individual to serve as the VP, Business Development Officer - Advisor Succession reporting to the AssetMark’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Corporate Development. The Vice President, Business Development Officer – Advisor Succession will facilitate advisor succession and acquisition activity by connecting advisors who are looking to sell all or part of their practice with advisors and partner firms seeking growth through acquisition. The VP will build trusted relationships with advisors on both sides of the transaction - those planning an exit or transition and those pursuing inorganic growth to expand their practice and increase share of wallet. This role will leverage a formal matchmaking platform to align buyers and sellers based on strategic, cultural, and financial fit, while advising participants on valuation expectations, deal structures, and practice readiness. In addition, the VP will manage and grow relationships with partner firms that serve as potential acquirers, transition destinations, or strategic buyers of advisor practices. The role will actively support transaction execution by coordinating across sales, finance, legal, and compliance teams to advance opportunities from introduction through close, including valuation analysis, LOI development, diligence support, and transition planning. With strong market insight and executive presence, the VP will help advisors identify attractive acquisition opportunities, guide them through complex negotiations, and ensure successful outcomes that drive advisor growth, asset retention, and long-term platform engagement.
