About the Job: Key Responsibilities: Triage incoming patients Monitor critical and fractious patients Administer treatments and medications Assist with diagnostic tests and emergency procedures Ensure patient comfort and wellbeing Communicate effectively with pet owners Maintain equipment and supplies Document patient care accurately Engage in ongoing education and training
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, estimates, and other position-related tasks
- Maintain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days of hire or transfer (waived if a valid CA-RVT license is held)
Nice To Haves
- CA-RVT license preferred but not required
