Veterinary Technician - Overnight Emergency
About The Position
Veterinary Emergency & Referral Group (VERG) – Brooklyn is seeking a qualified Overnight Veterinary Technician to join their expanding Inventory services team. Requirements
- Licensed or Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience, preferably with ECC or emergency experience in a specialty setting
- Detail-oriented, quick-thinking, and possess strong clinical & communication skills.
- Experience in intensive monitoring, emergency triage, ventilator support, post-op recovery of critical patients, and placing advanced lines (e.g., central venous catheters, arterial lines for invasive blood pressure, and CVPs).
- Ability to adapt to evolving patient needs, collaborate with multiple services, and educate intern doctors and peers on ECC protocols and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Support complex and urgent cases in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Radiology, and Neurology.
- Stabilize critical patients.
- Perform advanced monitoring.
- Support intensive care treatment plans.
