Veterinary Technician - Overnight Emergency
About The Position
Veterinary Emergency & Referral Group (VERG) – Brooklyn is expanding its Inventory services and seeking a qualified Overnight Veterinary Technician to join their team. VERG Brooklyn is a leader in 24/7 advanced emergency and specialty veterinary care, dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art medicine in a diverse, team-oriented environment. They are looking for compassionate professionals who collaborate with board-certified specialists and peers, committed to treating pets with expertise and respect. The role involves supporting complex and urgent cases in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Radiology, and Neurology. The position offers a flexible 3-day workweek, providing a four-day break each week.
Requirements
- Licensed or Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience
- Experience in intensive monitoring
- Experience in emergency triage
- Experience with ventilator support
- Experience with post-op recovery of critical patients
- Experience placing advanced lines (e.g., central venous catheters, arterial lines for invasive blood pressure, and CVPs)
- Ability to adapt to evolving patient needs
