About The Position

Petfolk is hiring a part-time Veterinary Technician for its Frisco Petcare Center in Dallas. The Veterinary Technician will be a key member of the medical team, delivering high-quality patient care, supporting veterinarians, and helping pet parents feel confident and informed. The role is weekend-only, with Saturday and Sunday availability required. Requirements

• Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays; this is a weekend-only role.
• At least 3 years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) in the state of Texas.
• Confidence in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to low-stress, Fear-Free handling.
• Comfort with technology, adaptability, and motivation to grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics.
• Educate pet parents with compassion and clarity.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation and patient histories.
• Promote low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction.
• Mentor assistants and foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.
