About The Position

Newton Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Level III Veterinary Technician to join our overnight emergency team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced emergency environment, enjoys managing critical cases, and wants to work alongside a highly skilled, collaborative team. Requirements

• Previous emergency, specialty, or advanced general practice experience
• Confident working independently while collaborating with a team
• Enjoys fast-paced, hands-on medicine
• Excellent technical and nursing skills
• Communicates professionally with teammates and clients
• Passionate about patient care and continuous learning

Nice To Haves

• New Jersey Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
• Associate degree in Veterinary Technology
• Previous emergency or specialty hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess emergency patients
• Monitor hospitalized and critical care patients
• Administer medications and treatments
• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Monitor anesthesia during surgical and dental procedures
• Assist with emergency surgeries and procedures
• Provide exceptional nursing care
• Perform laboratory diagnostics and imaging
• Communicate with doctors and pet owners regarding patient care
• Maintain accurate medical records
