Veterinary Technician - Overnight
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician for a full-time overnight role. The position involves advanced patient care in a fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative environment. The technician will care for critically ill patients, work alongside skilled technicians and assistants, and help mentor and train coworkers. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified credentialed technicians and experienced non-credentialed Advanced Patient Care Associates. Pay is $21–$42 per hour, depending on experience and advancement through the competency leveling system, with a night-shift differential. Requirements
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Qualified applicants for the sign-on bonus include CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT, and VTS credential holders, or experienced non-credentialed Advanced Patient Care Associates.
- Must have unrestricted, current authorization to work in the United States and not require future employment-based green-card sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant veterinary technician credentials (CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS) or experience as a non-credentialed Advanced Patient Care Associate are identified for sign-on bonus eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain patient histories.
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
- Place IVCs and advanced catheters, including jugular catheters, central lines, and PICC lines.
- Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
- Work with technicians and assistants to provide advanced medical care to patients.
- Mentor and train coworkers.
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients through recovery.
