Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician credential required
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
- Knowledge of diagnostic testing and patient nursing care
- Excellent communication and client education abilities
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Desire to continue learning and growing professionally
- Willingness to ask for help and offer help to others
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with advanced procedures, including surgery and anesthesia monitoring
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including bloodwork, cytology, and radiographs
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments in accordance with state regulations
- Provide nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Support Fear Free and low-stress handling practices
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care and client service
