Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician credential required
  • Strong technical and patient care skills
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
  • Knowledge of diagnostic testing and patient nursing care
  • Excellent communication and client education abilities
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
  • Desire to continue learning and growing professionally
  • Willingness to ask for help and offer help to others

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with advanced procedures, including surgery and anesthesia monitoring
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including bloodwork, cytology, and radiographs
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments in accordance with state regulations
  • Provide nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
  • Support Fear Free and low-stress handling practices
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care and client service
