About The Position

Kelley Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Student to join our multi-doctor practice in the northern suburbs, located between Shoreview and Blaine. Requirements

  • Current Licensed Veterinary Technician credentials or enrollment in a veterinary technician program
  • A compassionate approach to patients and the people who love them
  • A strong understanding of teamwork and your role within a collaborative veterinary team

  • The ability to learn from mistakes and continue developing professionally
  • Strong listening and critical-thinking skills
  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced veterinary environment

  • Experience with veterinary practice management software such as AVImark is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Check in patients and help manage appointments
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate, attentive nursing care to patients
  • Assist with surgical procedures and monitor patients under anesthesia
  • Support dental procedures and patient recovery
  • Safely handle and restrain patients
  • Fill prescriptions accurately as directed by the veterinary team
  • Maintain accurate patient information and medical documentation
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
  • Assist with reception and front-desk responsibilities as needed
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced veterinary environment
  • Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient and client care
