About The Position

Garden State Veterinary Specialists Eatontown is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join its dental team. The hospital is a multi-specialty referral hospital that has provided 24/7 emergency veterinary care to the tri-state area for more than thirty years. Its team includes board-certified specialists, specially trained emergency staff, and a skilled support team focused on patient care, collaboration, and professional growth. As a teaching-centered hospital, GSVS offers hands-on learning for real-world clinical practice. The position involves supporting dental care and related clinical work, including dental scaling and probing, anesthesia and sedation, procedures, patient monitoring, diagnostic sample collection, record maintenance, radiology positioning and safety, and preparing blood or plasma transfusions. The role is located at 246 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07727. Compensation is $23–$34 per hour, plus an overnight differential. A sign-on bonus is offered: $2,000 for full-time Veterinary Technicians and $6,000 for Credentialed Veterinary Technicians.

Requirements

CVT, LVT, or RVT credential preferred, or at least 2 years of experience; VTS is highly valued.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.

CVT, LVT, or RVT credential.

Responsibilities

Perform dental scaling and probing.
Assist with anesthesia, sedation, and procedures.
Set up CRIs and perform medical calculations.
Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy.
Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate care.
Collect diagnostic samples and maintain records.
Position patients for radiology and follow radiology safety practices.
Prepare blood and plasma transfusions.
