Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential in a fast-paced clinical environment, alongside maintaining a high standard of patient care. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician who is confident with restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia, with at least one year of experience in a busy hospital focused on nursing care. Experience with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow is a plus, but not required. Requirements

At least 1 year or more of experience in a busy hospital, focusing on nursing care.
Knowledge with Anesthesia and monitoring.
Phlebotomy.
Knowledge of the procedures used for scheduling patients, receiving, treating, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory tests.
Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment.
Knowledge of sterilization techniques to sterilize various instruments and materials.
Knowledge of the instruments, materials, and standardized procedures used in the full variety of treatments to make preparations and provide “tableside” assistance.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
CVT license is a plus.
Experience with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of patient care.
Perform restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia.

Collaborate with team members and provide insights for patient care and team success.
Schedule patients, receive patients, provide treatments, order medical supplies, and request laboratory tests.
Use, care for, and store veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment.
Sterilize various instruments and materials.
Provide assistance during treatments using instruments, materials, and standardized procedures.
Provide client and personal services, including client needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating client satisfaction.
Communicate effectively using the English language.
