About The Position
DuPont Veterinary Center is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for a full-time position. This role is part of a thriving 3-5 doctor small animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, outstanding client service, and a supportive team culture. The practice is Fear Free and Cat Friendly focused, committed to continuous learning, and passionate about creating an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for helping pets and their families. Responsibilities include monitoring anesthesia, educating clients, and supporting teammates to deliver the highest level of care.
Requirements
- Current LVT credential or eligibility for licensure
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support preferred
- Knowledge of radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and patient nursing care
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Desire to continue learning and growing professionally

- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical and dental procedures
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection
- Conduct laboratory testing, radiology, and diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and therapeutic treatments as directed
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques
- Support efficient workflow and collaborate with the medical team
