About The Position

Great Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to support our medical team, elevate patient care, and help shape a positive, accountable, and growth-driven culture. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends clinical excellence with team development. As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will lead by example on the floor, supporting patient care and workflow, mentor and develop technicians and assistants, partner closely with DVMs and hospital leadership, help drive consistency in medical standards, protocols, and communication, and ensure a high level of efficiency, accountability, and team engagement. You will play a key role in bridging medicine, operations, and team culture.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more of veterinary technician experience
  • Strong technical skills across anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics
  • Confidence in coaching, feedback, and team development
  • Excellent communication and client education skills
  • Ability to stay organized and lead in a fast-paced environment
  • High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong focus on client service and patient care
  • Knowledge of animal handling, common veterinary drugs, and clinical procedures
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and professionalism
  • High school diploma (required)
  • 5 years of veterinary technician experience (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT)
  • Degree in veterinary technology or related field
  • Degree in veterinary or related field (preferred)
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (preferred)
