Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively restrain patients during examinations and procedures
- Place IV catheters and administer fluids and medications, including IV, SQ, and IM injections
- Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples
- Obtain high-quality digital radiographs
- Assist veterinarians during appointments and procedures
- Obtain patient histories and support patient assessments
- Prepare and dispense medications as directed
- Provide client education in a clear, compassionate, and knowledgeable manner
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Deliver exceptional patient care while supporting hospital efficiency
