Veterinary Rehab Assistant/Technician
About The Position
Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation (FVR), located near historic downtown Deland, is a trusted partner in providing veterinary physical rehabilitation, pain management, and sports medicine for the dogs and cats of Central Florida. FVR is built on a foundation of respect, dignity, and honor, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for pets and their owners. The team of experienced rehabilitation-certified veterinarians adopts an integrative approach, combining Western and Eastern medicine to create tailored treatment plans that aim to reduce pain, enhance recovery, and improve overall function. We are looking for a dedicated veterinary assistant to join our growing team. You'll work side-by-side with experienced rehabilitation veterinarians in a collaborative, supportive environment where your contributions truly matter. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital.
- Training in venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic imaging positioning.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A team player and a genuine love for animals.
- Detail-oriented and reliable, with a growth mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during evaluations, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and other procedures.
- Perform venipuncture, administer and monitor sedation, administer subcutaneous injections, and assist with radiographs.
- Support Rehabilitation Therapists with therapies and modalities.
- Facilitate daily appointment flow to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide excellent client service, including communication and support.
