Veterinary Technician - Rehab
About The Position
Garden State Veterinary Specialists Eatontown is expanding its Rehabilitation team and seeks a Veterinary Technician to help pets improve their mobility and quality of life. The hospital is a multi-specialty referral facility providing 24/7 emergency veterinary care and offers a collaborative, teaching-centered environment with board-certified specialists, experienced clinicians, and hands-on learning opportunities. The technician supports rehabilitation consultations and treatment plans, therapeutic exercise programs, and rehabilitation modalities. The role also involves maintaining and operating rehabilitation equipment and assisting with anesthesia, diagnostic procedures, and pet care as needed. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, and the advertised pay range is $23–$34 per hour. Full-time veterinary technicians may be eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus; credentialed veterinary technicians may be eligible for a $6,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- CVT, LVT, or RVT credential preferred, or at least 2 years of experience.
- Previous experience in veterinary rehabilitation, sports medicine, orthopedics, neurology, or physical therapy.
- Experience with therapeutic exercise programs and rehabilitation modalities.
- Knowledge of pain management and recovery protocols.
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate, positive, honest, and committed to providing excellent care.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
Nice To Haves
- Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) credential is highly valued.
- Certification in Canine Rehabilitation (CCRP or CCRT), or working toward certification, is preferred.
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
