Rehab Technician
About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a full-time Rehab Technician for its skilled nursing facility in Amsterdam, New York. The position is scheduled for 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and pays $18.00 per hour. The Rehab Technician supports the rehabilitation team by safely transporting residents to and from therapy, helping residents prepare for treatment, and assisting with therapy-related and administrative tasks under the direction of licensed professionals. The role also helps maintain an organized therapy department and supports its daily operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow the directions of licensed professionals.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience preferred in the care and treatment of residents in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transporting residents to and from therapy.
- Assist residents in preparation for treatment.
- Assist therapists with resident evaluations, as instructed.
- Assist licensed therapists with treatment programs designed for each resident, as instructed.
- Maintain departmental records as directed.
- Maintain inventories and order equipment, as required.
- Attend meetings and in-service sessions, as directed.
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures and participate in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
- Support the Company’s commitment to Compassionate Care and project a professional image to foster confidence in the Rehab Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
