Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
Caring Hands Animal Hospital Rockville is hiring a full-time Front-desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for veterinary clients and help set the tone for their visits. The role is suited to a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care. The schedule includes a mix of 8-hour day and evening shifts, Monday through Friday during hospital operating hours of 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Availability to work every other Saturday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM is required. The salary is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Requirements
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.

Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets, complete appointment sign-in, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
- Ensure accurate accounting for service and product sales, handle payments, process credit and debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
- Answer client calls about appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
- Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
- Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization to support a positive client experience.
