About The Position

Benton Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role involves maintaining the hospital reception area, greeting clients and patients, answering questions, triaging concerns, managing calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and processing check-ins and check-outs. The receptionist will also provide emotional support to clients during difficult times and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The position requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases. The hospital offers opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development.

Requirements

Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Highly organized
Possess computer skills
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
Greet and welcome clients and patients

Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
Check in and check out clients
Process payments
Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients
Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
