About The Position

Caring Hands Animal Hospital Rockville is hiring a full-time Front-desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for veterinary clients and help set the tone for their visit. The role is suited to a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care. The position includes a mix of 8-hour day and evening shifts, scheduled Monday through Friday during hospital operating hours of 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Availability to work every other Saturday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM is required. The posted salary is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Requirements

Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets, complete appointment sign-in, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
Ensure accurate accounting of service and product sales, handle payments, process credit and debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
Answer client calls about appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
Help maintain cleanliness and organization to support a positive client experience.
