About The Position

North Griffin Animal Hospital is a family-owned small animal practice in Griffin, Georgia, just 30 minutes south of Atlanta. Our goal is to keep pets happy and healthy through high-quality care and diagnostic services. We provide quality, affordable care through a hard-working and dedicated team. Our practice has been consistently voted as the Best Vet Office in Griffin, and we work hard to maintain this standard. Our team has nearly 30 years of experience with veterinary medicine. Our facility provides preventative and wellness care, surgery, urgent care, dentistry, and more. Our complete wellness packages include vaccinations, check-ups, and heartworm prevention. Whether clients are in need of routine procedures or more serious operations, we perform a wide range of surgeries in-house including spays, neuters, oral, and soft tissue surgery. Our team is proud to offer the latest medicine including blood work, radiology, EKGs, disease testing, and more. Griffin is a pleasant suburb in the Atlanta metro area. The city has been the site of many film productions and locations. Enjoy Griffin’s historic downtown that combines antique shops with modern stores and dining. Requirements

  • Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
  • Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
  • Highly organized and possess computer skills
  • Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area
  • Greet and welcome clients and patients
  • Answer questions and triage client concerns
  • Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • Check in and check out clients and process payments
  • Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients
  • Must be comfortable with various medical outcomes
  • Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
  • May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
