About The Position

Bay Ridge Animal Hospital and Annapolis Cat Hospital is hiring a full-time Front-Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. We are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care. At Bay Ridge Animal Hospital, we hold ourselves to a higher standard of veterinary care. We strive to deliver excellent medicine with loving care, because your pet’s health is our #1 priority. With support from our sister facility, Annapolis Cat Hospital, we provide high-quality veterinary care for the area’s dogs and cats. Located right next door, Annapolis Cat Hospital caters to our feline patients, while Bay Ridge Animal Hospital focuses on dogs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
• Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
• Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
• Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
• Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
