About The Position

Wewoka Animal Hospital is hiring a part-time front desk receptionist to be the first point of contact for their veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. They are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care. At Wewoka Animal Hospital, the focus is on ensuring the hospital has the right tools to allow doctors and medical staff to provide excellent service and care to small, large, and exotic animals. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, in-house labs, endoscopy, cold laser therapy, ultrasound, and portable x-ray, and also offers TightRope CCL repairs, shockwave therapy, and ophthalmology services. The team also emphasizes a fun work environment, with activities like birthday parties, movie nights, dinner, and team-building events, fostering a supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
  • Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
  • Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
  • Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
