About The Position

Berkeley Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our growing team. This position is available as our current manager transitions back to school in August, creating an excellent opportunity for a new leader to step into a well-established role and help guide our continued expansion. We are a newly constructed, privately owned small animal hospital located in Berkeley, CA, offering general practice, urgent care, dentistry, and surgery, along with visiting specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, and surgery. Our hospital is built around Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques, and we are currently pursuing Fear Free certification. Our facility is a 3,000 sq ft modern hospital with 4 exam rooms + consult/discharge room, a separate dental suite with digital dental X-ray, a dedicated surgery suite with electrocautery, digital radiology and ultrasound, and companion animal laser. We utilize Idexx in-house lab equipment (CBC, chemistry, UA, clotting), cloud-based Neo software, Weave phones, Televet communication, and a Cubex system for controlled drugs. The hospital is open 7 days a week from 9 am-7 pm. We are planning a major expansion this year, including additional exam rooms, separate cat and dog entrances, and a larger treatment area with a dedicated office for the Practice Manager. The Practice Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring smooth daily operations while helping build systems and processes to support our continued growth.
