About The Position

The Emergency Veterinary Hospital & Specialty Center of Eugene-Springfield, Oregon is seeking a pioneering neurologist to join their highly experienced 24/7 emergency veterinary team. This role is an opportunity to grow with the hospital in their neurology service expansion, working in a brand new 12,000+ square foot facility. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art Toshiba 128 slice CT, ultrasound, and digital x-ray modalities, as well as a Siemens Magnetom Avanto. The neurologist will work closely with the Medical Director and practice owner, Dr. Max Rinaldi, and Hospital Administrator, Dave Berg, to build out the practice. The hospital is partnering with Lakefield Veterinary Group to enhance specialty offerings and works with over 50+ referring general practice hospitals. The Emergency Veterinary Hospital & Specialty Center has been a provider of emergency and critical care services in the South Willamette Valley for over 40 years, serving over 10,000 patients annually.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible neurologist.
  • Experience working with advanced diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound, digital x-ray).
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 emergency veterinary setting.
  • Willingness to collaborate with a team of experienced veterinary professionals.
  • DEA and State licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized neurological care to patients.
  • Work closely with the medical director and hospital administrator to build out the neurology service.
  • Collaborate with referring general practice hospitals.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including CT, ultrasound, and digital x-ray.
