About The Position

The Emergency Veterinary Hospital & Specialty Center of Eugene-Springfield, Oregon is seeking a specialist neurologist to join their highly experienced 24/7 emergency veterinary team. This role is an opportunity to grow with the hospital in their neurology service expansion, working in a brand new 12,000+ square foot facility. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art Toshiba 128 slice CT, ultrasound, and digital x-ray modalities, and a new Siemens Magnetom Avanto CT system. The neurologist will work closely with the Medical Director and practice owner, Dr. Max Rinaldi, and Hospital Administrator, Dave Berg, to build out the neurology practice. The hospital is partnering with Lakefield Veterinary Group to enhance specialty offerings and is a long-standing provider of emergency and critical care services in the South Willamette Valley, serving over 10,000 patients annually.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible Veterinary Neurologist.
  • Experience in a 24/7 emergency veterinary setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work with advanced diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Willingness to collaborate with a team.
  • DEA and State licensure.
  • AVMA PLIT Professional Liability Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized neurological care to patients.
  • Expand and develop the neurology service.
  • Collaborate with the existing emergency and specialty veterinary team.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment including CT, ultrasound, and digital x-ray.
  • Work with referring general practice hospitals.
  • Potentially take on a leadership role as Specialty Chief of Staff.
