About The Position

Sugar Land Veterinary Specialty and Emergency (SLVS) is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Specialist to join their multi-disciplinary hospital. SLVS has been providing high-level referral and emergency services since 2007 in a 19,000-square-foot facility. The hospital emphasizes a culture of shared learning through daily rounds for peer-to-peer mentoring and supports staff development with structured career paths and continuous skill improvement. It offers a forward-thinking environment for professional growth and expertise sharing with specialists and ER colleagues. The culture is collaborative, friendly, and supportive, focusing on positivity and medical excellence. Specialties include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Critical Care, Oncology, and Imaging. The facility is equipped to manage complex cases with a skilled team, including anesthesia-focused surgery technicians and a central sterile supply team. Advanced imaging includes a 128-slice Siemens Cannon CT and 1.5T Phillips MRI on-site. Interventional radiology and minimally invasive tools are available, including laparoscopic, arthroscopic, cystoscopic, and endoscopic capabilities.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
• DVM or equivalent degree.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level referral and emergency services in Internal Medicine.
• Manage all cases to the highest standard with support from the ER and ICU.
