About The Position
PETS Referral Center, a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital in Berkeley, California, is seeking two dedicated professionals to join their dynamic team as Internal Medicine Specialists. The hospital features state-of-the-art facilities including recently remodeled spaces, three surgical suites, a dedicated imaging room with a GE Optima CT540 scanner, a full clinical lab, a new digital radiology unit, and 13 exam rooms across a two-building campus. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside specialists in surgery, oncology, radiology, ophthalmology, and exotic animal care, supported by an experienced emergency department staffed 24/7. The environment is described as positive and supportive, driven by a talented team of doctors, experienced nurses, and management, with a high staff retention rate. The position serves an educated and pet-centric community in the San Francisco Bay Area and benefits from a busy caseload with 24/7 emergency coverage provided by other doctors. Requirements
- Diplomate or Residency training in Small Animal Internal Medicine
- Ability to obtain a CA state license
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- State Veterinary Board License in good standing
Responsibilities
- Serve as an Internal Medicine Specialist.
- Work alongside specialists in surgery, oncology, radiology, ophthalmology, and exotic animal care.
- Focus on specialty with the support of 24-hour emergency doctors.
