About The Position

Carolina Animal Specialty and Emergency Hospital is seeking a Residency Trained or Board-Certified Veterinary Internist to join their collaborative specialty team. The hospital has been serving the community for over 30 years and offers a wide range of services and state-of-the-art equipment. They have 12 exam rooms, a spacious ICU, and separate hospitalization areas for feline, intermediate care, and isolation wards. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology such as Snyder oxygen cages, canine and feline transfusions, Liga-Sur, PoliPhase sealant, GIA stapler, an on-site CT scanner, digital X-ray, GE Logiq ultrasounds, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy. The team includes specialists in surgery, internal medicine, behavior, rehabilitation, and emergency clinicians who work together to provide comprehensive medical care. The hospital provides 24/7/365 high-level medical care and has comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities. The ICU is staffed 24 hours a day with skilled support staff for continuous patient monitoring. A fully equipped rehabilitation suite includes an underwater treadmill, k-laser, e-stim, exercise treadmill, and enrichment toys. They also offer I-131 Radioactive Iodine Therapy for cats with hyperthyroidism in a dedicated feline ward.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  • Board Certification or Residency Trained and Board Eligible in Veterinary Internal Medicine
  • Passionate about practicing outstanding medicine
  • Ability to build and foster a strong team
  • Strong communicator who models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
