About The Position

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Maitland, Florida is seeking a full-time boarded Internist or board-eligible Internal Medicine specialist to join our collaborative and highly respected specialty team. BluePearl Maitland is the only large referral specialty hospital in Central Florida, offering an exciting opportunity to practice advanced medicine alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a thriving referral environment. Our hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We do not provide primary emergency services, allowing our specialists to focus on referred cases and ongoing patient management. After-hours emergencies are managed through local emergency veterinary hospitals and referred to our hospital for continued specialty care when needed. Our specialty team includes experts in: Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Radiology with an on-site radiologist, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Acupuncture. We also support rotating interns and residency programs in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Neurology. Adjacent specialty services including Ophthalmology and Dermatology are available nearby for consultation support. Our 25,000-square-foot hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology including: 64-slice helical CT scanner, 1.5 Tesla MRI, Ultrasound, Digital radiography, Radioiodine therapy, Linear accelerator, Endoscopy including GI, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, and cystoscopy, Laparoscopy, and Physical therapy and rehabilitation services. An on-site Antech commercial laboratory also allows for rapid turnaround times on diagnostic testing. The Orlando metropolitan area serves a referral population of approximately 1.5 million people and offers an exceptional quality of life with year-round warm weather and endless recreational opportunities. Central Florida provides convenient access to both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, making beaches and water activities easily accessible. Responsibilities
