About The Position

Horton Animal Hospital - Discovery in Columbia, Missouri, is seeking an experienced management professional to join its leadership team as Hospital Manager. The hospital provides veterinary care for companion animals. In collaboration with the Regional Manager, the Hospital Manager will optimize practice productivity, develop the team, and deliver outstanding client experiences. The role encompasses hospital operations, financial management, and maintaining high client-service standards. The manager leads technicians and receptionists, oversees budgets and performance indicators, supervises client interactions, and manages the hospital’s daily operations. Candidates should bring veterinary management and business operations experience, strong communication and financial skills, and a genuine dedication to animal care. Emergency-room experience is preferred. The schedule includes some night and weekend shifts.

Requirements

Proven experience in veterinary management and business operations.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently.
Exceptional interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in revenue management, inventory control, and payroll administration.
Genuine love for animals and dedication to providing them with excellent care.
Willingness to work some night and weekend shifts.
