About The Position

MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) is a paid program designed for new or recent veterinary graduates. It offers immersive, one-on-one training to build confidence in emergency veterinary medicine. The program combines mentored ER experience with specialty rotations, aiming to strengthen clinical skills within a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network. Upon successful completion, participants will transition into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization focused on advancing pet care.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital.
• Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty familiar with your skills and professionalism.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mentored ER experience.
• Complete specialty rotations in Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery.
• Engage in didactics and utilize medical journals and textbooks via OVID.
• Receive POCUS Training.
