Veterinary ER Clinician Mentorship Program- 2027
About The Position
MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) offers immersive, one-on-one training designed to help new or recent veterinary graduates confidently launch their emergency veterinary careers. This paid program combines mentored ER experience with specialty rotations, allowing participants to strengthen their clinical skills within a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network. Upon successful completion of the ECMP, graduates will transition into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization committed to advancing pet healthcare.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
- Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital.
- Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty familiar with your skills and professionalism.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Participate in mentored ER experience.
- Complete specialty rotations in Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery.
- Engage in didactics and utilize medical journals and textbooks via OVID.
- Undergo POCUS Training.
