About The Position

MedVet's Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) is an accelerated training program designed for new or recent veterinary graduates who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and aspire to become outstanding ER doctors. This program provides the necessary knowledge and skills to excel as an Emergency Clinician within a veterinarian-owned and led organization committed to high-quality specialty healthcare. The program includes specialty rotations relevant to ER practice, offering a comprehensive learning experience. Upon completion of the 1-year program, participants commit to an additional year of full-time employment, transitioning to a full ER doctor role with salary plus production pay in the second year.

Requirements

DVM degree from an AVMA-recognized institution.
Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your program.
Employment interview with background check.
Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty members with knowledge of applicant’s clinical abilities and communication skills (for new grads).
Passing of a drug screen.

Responsibilities

Gain knowledge and skills necessary to be an exceptional Emergency Clinician.
Participate in specialty rotations that focus on ER relevance.
Provide 24/7 emergency services.
Collaborate with a team of doctors, technicians, and staff to provide excellent patient and client care.
Utilize on-site advanced diagnostic equipment including digital radiology, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and endoscopy.
