About The Position

MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) is a paid program designed for new or recent veterinary graduates. It offers immersive, one-on-one training in emergency medicine, combining mentored ER experience with specialty rotations. The goal is to help participants confidently launch their emergency veterinary careers, strengthen clinical skills, and be supported by a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network. Upon successful completion, participants will transition into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization focused on advancing pet healthcare.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital.
• Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty familiar with your skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mentored ER experience.
• Complete specialty rotations in Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery.
• Engage in didactics and utilize medical journals and textbooks via OVID.
• Undergo POCUS Training.
• Develop clinical skills under the guidance of experienced veterinarians.
