About The Position

MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) is a paid program designed for new or recent veterinary graduates. It offers immersive, one-on-one training in emergency medicine, combining mentored ER experience with specialty rotations. The program aims to strengthen clinical skills and prepare participants for a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization. Participants will be supported by a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network dedicated to advancing pet healthcare.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital.
• Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty familiar with your skills and professionalism.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mentored ER experience.
• Complete specialty rotations in Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery.
• Engage in didactic learning and utilize medical journals and textbooks via OVID.
• Receive POCUS training.
• Transition to a full Emergency Clinician role upon successful completion of the program.
