About The Position

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic (QVC) is looking for compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistants to join our small animal team. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with animals, support life-saving care, and be part of a team that truly values what you do. As a 24/7 hospital, we provide both emergency and routine care. Requirements

• Strong customer service skills (required)
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• A team player who can also work independently
• Ability to Maintain a professional presence, including communication, appearance, and conduct
• Lift up to 40 lbs regularly
• Assist with lifting up to 150 lbs (with team support)
• Handle and walk large dogs
• Regular standing, walking, sitting, and communication with team members and clients
• Close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment are also necessary

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with animals (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments
• Safely handling and restraining pets with compassion and care
• Performing basic lab work, nail trims, and sample collection (urine/fecal)
• Administering subcutaneous fluids, SQ injections, and oral medications
• Preparing and maintaining surgical suites and hospital equipment
• Taking radiographs under the direction of a doctor or technician
• Filling prescriptions and managing refill requests accurately
• Communicating clearly with clients to provide excellent service and education
• Entering patient notes and charges into our database system
