About The Position

VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join its Emergency Team. The role supports emergency veterinary care and patient treatment, including preparing for and performing procedures and treatments, assisting with procedures, conducting laboratory work and diagnostic imaging, preparing medications and prescriptions, maintaining medical records, and communicating with clients in person and by phone. The assistant also provides compassionate care for hospitalized pets and may assist in other areas of the hospital as needed.

This is a full-time position with four 10-hour late swing shifts per week. The schedule includes at least one weekend day. The position is located at 3021 Edinger Ave, Tustin, California. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour and is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
