About The Position

VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join its Emergency Team. The role supports high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care in a close-knit hospital environment. The schedule is four 10-hour swing shifts per week, including at least one weekend day. The position is based at 3021 Edinger Ave, Tustin, CA 92780. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour and is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Requirements

• Experience in veterinary medicine.
• Experience as a Veterinary Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical records.
• Prepare for and perform procedures and treatments.
• Prepare medications and prescriptions.
• Communicate with clients in person and by phone.
• Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Assist with procedures.
• Provide compassionate care for hospitalized pets.
• Assist in other areas of the hospital as needed.
