About The Position

A Country Veterinary Clinic is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to support high-quality medical care in a growing hospital. This is a full-time role with a flexible four-day work week and no night, weekend, or holiday hours. The schedule includes one weekday off, Saturdays and Sundays off, and regular lunch breaks. Compensation is negotiable and based on experience.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar veterinary role.
Confidence in safe, low-stress animal restraint and handling.
A desire to grow professionally and help others grow.
Willingness to ask for help and offer help to others.
Accountability and confidence owning tasks and delivering positive results.
Teamwork skills and ability to keep pace in a busy hospital.
Comfort standing, walking, and handling animals of various sizes throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
Safely restrain animals and provide compassionate patient care.
Anticipate doctors’ needs to help the day run efficiently.
Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized and boarding patients.
Clean and disinfect exam rooms, kennels, and equipment.
Prepare supplies and support daily clinic operations.
