About The Position

Moffett Veterinary Hospital provides a wide range of services for dogs and cats, including preventive care, surgery (general and some orthopedics), routine dental cleaning and radiographs, in-house labs, boarding, bathing, and grooming. The Veterinary Assistant role involves pet restraint, triaging patients, collecting and analyzing lab samples, diagnostic imaging, managing and providing nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases, administering medications, communicating treatment plans to clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. The position requires the ability to tolerate unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases. Opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development are available.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Proficient in sample collection
Obtaining medical histories
Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
