About The Position

Treehouse Animal Clinic, located near Moores Mill Road in Atlanta’s Upper Westside/Smyrna/Buckhead area, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. The role involves supporting veterinarians and other team members, providing client education, and handling animals safely and in a fear-free manner. Candidates should be comfortable communicating with clients, managing multiple tasks efficiently, and performing or having knowledge of common clinical and laboratory procedures.

Requirements

• Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant.
• Confidence taking histories and managing examination rooms.
• Ability to prepare vaccines.
• Ability to safely and properly handle animals in a fear-free manner.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
• Understanding of the importance of client education.
• Ability to work closely with veterinarians and other team members.
• Ability or knowledge in drawing blood, placing IV catheters, and operating in-house laboratory equipment.
• Comfort communicating with clients.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and manage examination rooms.
• Prepare vaccines.
• Safely and properly handle animals using fear-free practices.
• Work closely with veterinarians and other team members.
• Educate and communicate with clients.
• Draw blood and place IV catheters, or have knowledge of these procedures.
• Operate in-house laboratory equipment, or have knowledge of its use.
• Clean and disinfect.
