Dawson Veterinary Clinic is looking for a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team in Dawson, MN. Requirements

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not required; we are happy to train the right candidate.
• Strong communication, organizational abilities, and a passion for animal care.
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Providing compassionate care and handling for pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Administering medications and vaccinations under supervision.
• Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment.
• Performing basic diagnostic tests and preparing lab samples.
• Educating clients on basic pet care and wellness topics.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment.
