About The Position

Pieper Veterinary is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for its Emergency department in Middletown, Connecticut. This is a full-time, second-shift position with a schedule of four 10-hour days per week. Holidays are required. Compensation is $19.50–$22.50 per hour, based on experience, plus a shift differential.

The Veterinary Assistant provides hands-on support during emergency procedures, prepares and restocks treatment areas, communicates compassionately with pet parents, performs basic laboratory tasks, and collaborates with emergency technicians and doctors. Pieper Veterinary is a VECCS Level 1 Certified Hospital.

Requirements

• Solid communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of animal handling, restraint, and common veterinary terminology.
